Dr. Huay-Leng Lee, BSc, PhD, DDS
Dr. Huay-Leng Lee has been in practice for over 18 years.
​
Dr. Lee graduated with Honours B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Waterloo in 1991. She obtained several scholarships to continue post-graduate studies and completed her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Western University in 1998. Following her graduate studies, she went on to study dentistry at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University.

After receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Western University in 2001, Dr. Lee went on to practice as an Associate Dentist in clinics located in Brampton and Guelph. Her familiarity with the Waterloo region brought her back to the vibrant community of Waterloo where she acquired the current dental practice from a retiring dentist in 2004.
Her commitment to Continuing Education helps her to provide the highest possible standard of care to her patients. She enjoys working with and educating patients on improving their dental health.

Dr. Lee and her husband have been married for over 25 years and they have two wonderful children. In the summer you can find them out exploring Ontario. She enjoys going to movies, fishing, hot yoga and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Mahan Alavi, BSc, MSc, DDS

Dr. Alavi received his B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto. Following his graduation, he was awarded with one year of hospital dental residency at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto where he provided dental services to hospital inpatients and a large group of medically compromised outpatient population. Furthermore, he gained valuable clinical experience in the management of patients with special needs and is certified to provide moderate IV sedation.

Dr. Alavi enjoys practicing all facets of general dentistry and always seeks to further his skills and education by participating in numerous dental continuing education courses and seminars.
​
His experience include several externships at some of the most prestigious surgical programs including Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, and Louisiana State Health Sciences Centre in Shreveport. In addition, he has completed a rotation in Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre, where he served First Nation communities in Northern Ontario.
​
Dr. Alavi also holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto. Having a strong research background with multiple publications, he continuously evaluates available studies to ensure optimal materials and techniques are applied for his patients.
​
He is an energetic doctor with great interpersonal skills who always puts his patients’ comfort and satisfaction first.
​
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Alavi is a master swimmer, avid traveller, and aspiring cook who has an uncompromising passion for a good coffee.
Sandra – Reception Manager
Sandra started at our dental practice in 2002 and has been working with Dr. Lee since 2004. As a valued member of our team, Sandra will be the first one to greet you with a smile. With her experience and knowledge in the dental office, she can help you with your insurance questions, claims submissions and the scheduling of your next appointments.

Sandra and her husband have a young active son, Lucas, who keeps them very busy. She also enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Emily – Dental Hygienist
Emily graduated with Honours from the Dental Assisting program at Algonquin College in 2006 and from the Dental Hygiene program in 2009. She is a member of the CDHA and has current CPR and First Aid. She strives to make every client feel comfortable and have a positive dental experience.
Andrea – Dental Hygienist
Andrea grew up in Waterloo and graduated from George Brown College in 2015. She has been working with Dr. Lee on some Fridays since 2017. She is passionate about putting her clients at ease and ensuring a positive dental experience. She loves her career as a Dental Hygienist and considers all of her patients family. In her spare time, Andrea loves being with family, going on ATV trips up north and visiting her antique booth in Woodstock.
Srishti (Tee) - Dental Assistant
Srishti is a Dentist who completed her Bachelors of Dental Science in India and a Diploma in Healthcare Administration from Conestoga College. She is one of our Dental Assistants and helps at the Front Desk. In her spare time, she likes to read and write poetry and is enthusiastic about Science, travel and art.
Alyssa – Dental Assistant
Alyssa completed the Dental Assisting program at Durham College. She works hard to make sure her all of her patients have an enjoyable visit at the office. Alyssa loves being outdoors. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, snowboarding and being by the water.
